Avant garden Red Prussian Paynes

A sort of bluey-green-gray water-based house paint for the squiggle, cadmium red acrylic swipe, all on a white canvas.

This was painted for my teenage stepson, who is the only member of my whole family who actually likes my paintings! The rest just giggle or laugh uproariously when I show them my latest creation; the only place I’m allowed to hang them is in my office.

Named after where I painted it (in the garden), and the colours used (’cadmium red’ and a water-based house paint that is a cross between ‘prussian blue’ and ‘paynes grey’)
